Take Up Space in the Workplace
Confidence. Capability. Leadership.
Built for workplaces ready to do better by their people.
Take Up Space in the Workplace brings the kaupapa of the movement into organisations across Aotearoa and the Pacific.
We work with workplaces that want confident people, strong leaders and teams who show up with clarity, voice and purpose — not just compliance.
This isn’t box-ticking training.
It’s mindset-first development that creates real shifts in how people think, communicate and lead.

Take Up Space
in the Workplace
Why Take Up Space in the Workplace Exists
Many workplaces invest in skills.
Far fewer invest in confidence, identity and voice.
Yet these are the things that determine:
-
who speaks up
-
who puts themselves forward
-
who leads
-
who stays
-
who grows
Women — particularly Māori and Pacific wāhine — are still underrepresented in leadership and decision-making roles. Not because of a lack of capability, but because of systems, culture and confidence gaps.
Take Up Space in the Workplace exists to change that.

Let’s Work Together
If your organisation is ready to uplift women, strengthen leadership and create spaces where people can truly take up space — we’d love to work with you.
About D7 People
D7 People is our training and delivery arm, working alongside Take Up Space to deliver practical, mindset-first programmes for workplaces, government and industry. Through D7 People, we design and deliver workshops and longer-form programmes that build confidence, communication, leadership and real-world capability — for women, men and mixed teams.
The work is grounded, people-centred and focused on outcomes that actually stick, whether that’s stronger leadership, better team dynamics, or people backing themselves at work.
D7 People allows us to take the kaupapa of Take Up Space into broader organisational settings, at scale.
What about the guys?
Yes there is space for them too and we actually love this part of the work.
We run tailored sessions for the men in your organisation who genuinely want to be better allies.
These workshops create space to understand what women in their teams may be dealing with — including systems, unconscious bias and the added layers that can show up for Māori and Pasifika wāhine. It’s not about blame or calling anyone out. It’s about building awareness, perspective and practical leadership skills that make teams stronger.
We also introduce the Limitless Mindset framework, so leaders walk away with tools they can actually use.
And if you’re looking for broader workshops for mixed teams or all staff, those are available through D7 People too.
